A letter to every woman I've ever loved:
Every woman I've ever loved has become the same person: intelligent, captivating, and addicting.
Starting out as a beautiful young girl who had more love than you knew what to do with. Your main problem was that you'd easily add another person into your already overflowing heart, and always forget to leave space for yourself.
I've been there. I understand.
You tried to keep yourself busy, in fear that free time will one day be equivalent to an emotional break-down. You worked too much, studied too much, trained too much, and didn't sleep enough. Spent your days surrounded by meaningless chatter in hopes that it will drown out the voices in your head.
But then night would come, and you'd be forced to face your feelings.
That's when you realized that running from yourself was an impossible task. And you finally understood the meaning of the saying "when it rains, it pours."
You are my favorite because you never let heartbreak compromise your character. You turned negativity into motivation and loneliness into fearlessness. I'm glad you realized that you will never fully satisfy a man who doesn't know what he wants. I'm even happier to see that you've finally made yourself number one in your life.
You ultimately transformed from a smart, yet naïve, young girl into a focused, outspoken, beast of a woman. Keep making me proud, keep making yourself proud.
Ps. If you think I’m writing about you, I am.
Dedicated to Massiel, Jamie, Amy, and Kat – my rocks.
