MP Frias is a writer and activist from the Bronx, New York. She is the author of The Art of Letting Go, a collection of poems self-published in 2016.

MP is also the producer and curator of The Scarlet Event, an annual cultural and artistic showcase for women of color in New York City. Founded in 2014 as a feminist art show, The Scarlet Event has since blossomed into a live, interactive creative art space and lifestyle event focused on bringing intellectuals together in the spirit of cultural celebration, mutual understanding, and social justice. Also known as Scarlet: A Celebration of Female Expression, the event aims to shed light on powerful social issues such as racism, sexism, feminism, gender identity, and reproductive health, all the while maintaining its original focus of promoting the immense talent women in New York City have to offer.

She has been the key-note speaker at over 20 colleges and universities including Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John’s, and Fordham.
